Summary
DME was engaged to support the construction of the landmark Atlassian building in Sydney by fabricating seven complex structural steel connecting nodes at Level 11 — a critical element in the structure’s steel exoskeleton.
Purpose
To deliver high-precision, heavy steel connection nodes vital to maintaining the project’s construction schedule and ensuring structural integrity at a key junction point within the building’s hybrid frame.
Our Role
DME’s scope included the fabrication, testing, and verification of the structural steel nodes designed for high load-bearing performance. Due to their complexity and integration into a world-first hybrid structure, our team applied advanced fabrication techniques and stringent quality control processes.
Key Deliverables:
Precision fabrication of 7 heavy structural steel connection nodes
Non-destructive testing (NDT) of all assemblies to ensure compliance
Laser scanning and surveying to verify dimensional accuracy prior to delivery
About the Project
Set to become the tallest hybrid timber building in the world, the Atlassian tower will rise 39 stories to 183 meters and serve as a new global headquarters for Atlassian in Sydney.
